BRCA Junior Championships - Bedworth 2008 Print E-mail

Over the course of Friday and Saturday, around 80 drivers arrived at Bedworth for this years, 'Young Guns Junior Championship'.  With some of the younger drivers already showing exceptional driving skills on the national circuit, the standard of competitor driving at Bedworth on Sunday. would not have been out of place in any level of competition.

In the under 12 stock A final, Jake Young took the overall win from well down the grid with Ben Mannel in 2nd place and Luke Lee maintaining his grid position and finishing 3rd overall.

The under 14 stock final saw Craig Campbell better his 3rd place grid position in both finals and take the overall win.  Michael Lee was a close 2nd with Connor Danes in 3rd.

Ayrton Anderson's consistent driving was rewarded with an overall 1st in the under 14 pro stock class.  Sam Clifton took 2nd place with Ryan Edwards in 3rd.

Pole position had given no advantage so far and the trend continued in the under 17 stock A final with Matthew Tuplin moving his car up one place and taking 1st place in both final legs.  Bryan Loynes and Luke Bennett followed up with 2nd and 3rd place.

Elliott Harper's Xray had booked pole position for the finale race - the under 17s Pro Stock A final.  Would the curse of pole continue?  Well, not for Elliott who took first place in both legs taking the overall win.  Liam Brooks battled hard with Elliott in both legs and took 2nd overall.  Tom Watts and Ali Graham showed consistent results too finishing 3rd and 4th in both their finals to take 3rd and 4th place overall.

So, a great weekend for the Juniors who displayed standards of driving that would put many of the over 17's to shame!

A huge success for Muchmore UK team drivers with Elliott Harper taking the Under 17 Pro-Stock A final win and Ali Graham closely behind in 4th place.

Muchmore UK driver Gareth Hunt had no luck in the 1st leg of his final when an electrical failure finished his race early but pulled himself back to take 3rd place in leg 2.
