SLC cup Round 3 Bashley Massive success for the RC Drifting T.O.P. Sycthe team drivers supported by Much-More Racing (UK).
The key to Bashley is to get into a rhythm as quickly as possible and to keep away from the curbs! The RC-Drifting team was the class of the field in both 27 turn and 19 turn with all 4 team drivers on the pace! Glen Westwood using his full spec T.O.P. Racing Scythe showing every other driver the route around this very fast track.
Qualifying: 27 Turn:
The top heat with team drivers, Jay Westwood, Mark Sadler and Dan Ghibaldan using their Scythes to good effect with Jay putting his car onto a provisional pole with Mark pushing him and gaining second in the heat but 3rd in the round, Dan having difficulties passing others through the tight technical parts of the track, Into the second round with no change at the top but Dan improved his time putting him in contention!
Going into the last round Jay and Mark weren’t improving so pulled off to save the tyres, so Dan had it all to do and was on the pace….but a few small curbs put a stop to a TQ! End of the qualifying session saw Jay in Pole and Mark in 3rd position.

27 Turn Final: Leg 1: Jay checked out and disappeared into the distance with the rest of the grid chasing hard, Consistency is a must and no mistakes and that’s what they all achieved. Jay finished first, Mark 3rd and Dan unable to find a way past Mark in 4th. 27 Turn Final: Leg 2: As the buzzer sounded Jay made a jump start so had to come into the pits for a penalty and back out again, this letting Graham Staples into the lead and Ben all over Jay. Mark and Dan were caught up in some traffic at the start but both got going and as Dan passed Mark inspired Mark to return the favour and pushed Dan, This time Dan’s car was better through the sweeper and both started to put some good laps together. As they finished it was Graham, Jay, Ben, Dan, and Mark to cross the line giving Jay the overall win, Mark 2nd, Ben 3rd and Dan 4th showing how competitive the T.O.P Scythe is!

19 Turn Final: Leg 1A delayed start due to Glen not tightening his pinion up! But as the race started into the sweeper and contact was made putting Glen onto the grass and then into everyone’s way! The field of cars were gone but Glen put the pedal to the metal and picked his way through the field and re-took the lead and was then tagged again so the finish was Aaron, Mark then Glen.
19 Turn Final: Leg 2
No issues this time and Glen was gone pulling out every lap then cruising home with Glen First Stuart 2nd and Mark 3rd Giving Glen a Maximum score in the First three rounds on 300 points!
