Much More Win At Carpet Wars Two Day World Cup
Much More team drivers scored an impressive 1-2-3 at the Maritime Racing run Carpet Wars Two Day World Cup with Andy Moore adding this to his impressive tally of recent wins and taking yet another title.
In qualifying it was all about Andy in front with everyone else playing catch up, by the end of five rounds of qualifying Andy was on top of the pile with Chris Grainger second and Olly Jefferies third.
The first of three finals saw Andy check out and leave the field fighting for second, Olly got the better of Chris to set up a Hot Bodies 1-2 but in the second final Olly could only manage sixth after a first lap accident that dropped him to last place. Andy won the second final and in doing so secured the title, he could now concentrate on helping his team mate Olly.
Not a great start for Olly in the last of the three finals, but as the pack battled Olly was able to pick up places as the race progressed, by the finish Olly was up to second, this was enough to get the Hot Bodies 1-2 that he and Andy had worked towards.
Chris Grainger was third with his Yokomo, Chris pleased with the performance of his car at this meeting after struggling to find a good set up at previous rounds of Carpet Wars.
Andy and Olly now turn their attention to the ITTC race in Thailand in two weeks time and Olly’s first race with the Cyclone on tarmac.
