Don Valley B.I.W.S. - Round 1 |

|
October 21st saw racers gather at the Don Valley stadium for the first round of the infamous British Indoor Winter Series. For many this was the first major event of the 2007-2008 winter season and it was clear which drivers had been preparing and testing beforehand!
A tight and twisty track was laid out, which looked to provide many challenges throughout the day. As practice opened and the traction increased, many found the track to be better to drive than they had first expected.
After the three rounds of qualifying Much-More had claimed number 1 and 2 of the 10 Modified grid positions, with Stew Noble taking the TQ spot and Ben Cosgrove in 2nd. Alistair Graham followed closely in 6th place. After the two legs of the finals had been run Ben had taken the overall win with Stew in 2nd and Ali in 5th. In the 19T class, David Allen, driving the TOP Racing Scythe (last years proven BIWS winning chassis) for the first time at the venue, missed out on an A final placing but recovered well to take 3rd place overall in the B final. Overall a good success for the Much-More team with all team drivers utilising Much-More products to get the best performance out of the cars. Report and pictures by Ali Graham & Keith Anderton. |
